What about contraindications for blood pool agents in patients with renal impairment?
The contraindications depend on the class of blood pool agent used. With the only clinically approved agent, gadofosveset (Vasovist®), there is no need to lower the dose in patients with renal impairment. Gadofosveset is effectively removed from the body by dialysis.
