My dynamic (first-pass) scans are very good. So what is the value of steady-state imaging?

As mentioned above, in MRA, blood pool agents provide similar dynamic scanning capabilities to the existing ECCM. The addition of steady-state imaging allows clinicians to look much more closely at diseased vascular structures with much higher resolution simply because there is more time available for a more detailed examination of the vasculature. Steady-state imaging also offers radiologists the flexibility to visualize more vascular beds in one imaging session and with a single injection of a blood pool agent.
