Protocols Sequence Recommendations

Gadofosveset is injected as bolus and allows first-pass and steady-state MRA. A possible procedure for evaluation of the steady-state images consists in initially using the first-pass images.

This is a method familiar to MRA-experienced radiologists who use Gd-based ECCAs. For steady-state images, it is best to obtain multiplanar reformatted 2D images of the suspicious vascular region or to use MIP images with variable slice thickness. Subtraction of the venous from the arterial enhancement is not necessary.

The individual sequence protocols depend on the scanner oft he various equipement manufacturers (e.g. SIEMENS, GE, Philips, Toshiba, etc.) Please click on your MR scanner to retrieve the appropriate sequence card.
